The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Communications, Technology, and Innovations have pledged to work together effectively.
The commitment comes as part of the implementation of the “Forge Strategic Partnerships and Collaboration” pillar outlined in the Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP 2.0 2024-2027), spearheaded by NITDA’s Director General, Kashifu Inuwa.
Inuwa further elaborated on the necessity of collaboration among various stakeholders within and beyond the public sector.
He emphasized the establishment of Digital Transformation Working Groups within each ministry to ensure policy relevance across governmental agencies.
Reflecting on the engagement, Minister Salima Bah of Sierra Leone highlighted the significance of collaboration in propelling Africa forward in emerging technologies like AI and blockchain.
Minister Bah emphasized the importance of leveraging these technologies for mutual benefit, marking a crucial step towards advancing digital innovation within the African continent.
