The Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa, has highlighted the importance of collaboration in advancing Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda.

Inuwa made this statement while hosting participants of the 2024 Senior Executive Course 46, led by Brigadier General Abdulrahman Idris, who were on a strategic tour to study NITDA’s operations in advancing the Digital Economy, in line with the present administration’s agenda.

“We need to collaborate with other institutions to learn and share ideas that will impact on the lives of citizens, improving the living standards of individuals across the country.”He said.

Stressing the significance of collaboration between NITDA and NIPSS, Inuwa emphasized the importance of leveraging technology and digital innovation to drive economic growth, create job opportunities, and attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

He reiterated NITDA’s commitment to improving service delivery and the ICT sector’s growth through its Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP 2024-2027) 2.0, structured around key pillars including fostering digital literacy, building a robust technology research ecosystem, and strengthening policy implementation and legal frameworks.

Brigadier General Idris, in his remarks, highlighted NIPSS’s role as the nation’s foremost policy think-tank, tasked with developing top-class technocrats to drive national development. He noted the administration’s focus on the digital economy sector, making NITDA a critical stakeholder, hence the visit to study and collaborate on issues of national interest.
