As the days trudged on, everything and everywhere seems dreadful. Just a few months away from Christmas, hope is like a tiny thread in most homes.
Generally, things are getting tougher, groceries around the world are getting more expensive, and many people are really finding it difficult to pay their bills, including house rent.
In a viral video, a white man is seen distributing a loaf of bread to people in a very long line somewhere in Lagos, Nigeria. Yes, you heard that correctly. Bread, as in bread. People are hungry not only in Nigeria but everywhere around the globe.
Which way to go?
In developing countries like Nigeria, the gap between the rich and the poor has risen in geometric progression.
The pay-as-you-go electricity price and functionality are flying away.
Many people are smiling yet crying under severe pain of poverty.
During the week, someone in Canada called yours truly and explained how he almost committed suicide because life was becoming a roller coaster of several unpaid bills.
That case is at least the situation of the average income earner. When people work two jobs, taxes snuff the life out of them, even with one job, the same thing happens. The truth is that one job is no longer enough to pay bills.
So which way?
In some countries, where some graduates earn less than $70 per month, transportation and many other things take a huge toll on them.
In reality, gradient regression has happened to the graduate.
So, what is the way forward?
No one is genuinely happy. Most people are working and moving mechanically and that is why the rate of haters on social media is on the increase. That is the platform where they pour out their frustration and hate to whoever they feel is better than them.
Whose fault?
It is high time the government rose to the occasion and provided a soft landing and possibly palliatives to its citizens.
Life and everyday living are extremely difficult now. Those who live in glass houses may not know how hard and painful it is to live in a sand house.
Which way?
See you next week.
Rest in perfect peace, Madame Poscablo Aurora. Such a beautiful soul.
